About the Garden - Medium Show Garden

The greatest threat to our planet is the belief someone else will save it.

Reflecting the Citroën values of wellbeing for people and planet, this alternative urban front garden demonstrates the “Power of One” – how one garden and better choice of car has the power to tackle the effects of pollution and positively contribute to the environment.

The garden encourages us to adapt practices and better utilise immediate spaces. It features a carpet of reclaimed materials and a sedum roof which provides food for pollinators while positively contributing to air quality. The collection of rain utilises water that would be otherwise wasted through storm drains, and water features within the garden provide a relief from noise pollution. Planting close to the street is chosen for its ability to absorb pollution and clean the air, while plants within the rain garden and ponds help clean and absorb excess run off water.
