Anita Reynolds Art and Design
I am a full-time artist working in ceramics and textiles. Based in Ballivor, Co. Meath, my studio is nestled in the Boyne Valley. My work is inspired by the natural and historic heritage that surrounds me. I love colour and texture, and I create work that I hope inspires joy in those who purchase it.
As a member of the DCCI I am delighted to be selected for the craft Village at Bloom for the fourth time. I will have my ceramics for the garden, as well as my nature and historic-inspired embroidery hoops and framed artwork on sale.
Many of my ceramic pieces are imprinted with a gaelic printers type once used by my father and grandfather in our family printing business. I love this connection with family history, and I also love to use some Irish words and phrases. My garden Tiles of Ireland are stoneware and can be left outside all year round, as well as my colourful love birds and birdhouses.
My work can be found in many galleries and gift shops around Ireland. My specially commissioned brooches are on sale in the National Gallery of Ireland shop. I will have my own brooches at Bloom.
